Mostly when people talk about over toilet shelving they really mean multiple shelves, maybe even with a cabinet or two added for good measure. Bathroom spacesavers cater for this market very well, but not everyone actually needs multiple toilet shelves.
A singular toilet shelf is sometimes all that is needed to meet the needs of the home owner, and provide that little bit of extra bathroom storage above the toilet. Just about any bathroom shelf will fill the role of an over toilet shelf, although you may find one that is described as such.
With a single shelf, you will need to wall mount it, unlike free standing bathroom spacesavers and over the toilet storage units. If you already have other bathroom shelving and cabinets, then you will no doubt want to find a toilet shelf that will match them.
Before opting for a single over toilet shelf, try thinking ahead, just in case you are going to need another one or two shelves later. It’s better to buy the extra shelf or shelves now, rather than as an add-on later.
You will find that ideal toilet shelf very easily, whether online or at a local store. There are plenty of them to choose from, in all the popular bathroom materials and styles. If you want something more expensive and “cultured” then the Kohler Glass Shelf K-14440-G may be worth considering.
If you prefer more traditional shelves, then a solid oak or other wood shelf is certainly one of the choices you can easily satisfy, as are modern metal shelves for above the toilet or elsewhere in the bathroom.
